SCBA DRILL
09/30/13 1900hrs
Tonights drill was a review of SCBA operations and the ability to maneuver through odd spaces. The drill
was conducted at the Lawrenceville park with a rope run through a series of obstacles (playground equipment). The crews then
donned their turnout gear and SCBA and had their masks covered. The navigated through the maze blinded while attempting
to conserve air.
MVC ASSIST WITH MILLERTON
09/28/13 0309hrs
Stations 12 (Millerton) and 8 were dispatched this morning for a vehicle crash on the Wales Road near Lyman
Stone Road in Jackson Township. Engine 8-2 and Ambulance 8-6 responded. Upon arrival, it was found that the vehicle struck
a pole and ended up on its side. The area was checked and the driver was not able to be located. Lawrenceville units
remained on scene during the wait for the electric company, but were released prior to the arrival.
ENGINE COMPANY STANDBY AT WHS
09/27/13 1900hrs
Engine 8-3 and Ambulance 8-6 provided a standby this evening at the Williamson High School Homecoming bon
fire next to the school soccer field in Lawrence Township. Crews remained on location without incident and extinguished the
blaze at the conclusion of the festivities.
SINGLE CAR MVC
09/24/13 2331hrs
Station 8 was dispatched to an MVC on Route 328 near Charlie Lane in Lawrence Township. Engine 8-2, Squad
8-18, Ambulance 8-6, and Chief 8-20 all responded. C8-20 arrived and met with the crew from Tioga Ambulance, who was in the
area returning from a transfer. A report of a vehicle off the roadway with one injury was given. Units from Lawrenceville
arrived and assessed for hazardous materials and any additional dangers. Patient care and transport was handled by Tioga Ambulance.
Units remained on scene to assist PSP and the tow service before clearing at 1217 hours.
VEHICLE FIRE ON THE HIGHWAY
09/19/13 2345hrs
Station 8 was alerted to the area of the Route 15 exit ramps in Lawrence Township for a vehicle fire. Engine
8-3, Squad 8-18, and Ambulance 8-6 all responded. E8-3 located the vehicle towing a camper on the north bound exit ramp. The
crew located a smoke condition inside the vehicle and later discovered a fire under a seat on the floor due to a malfunction
with the exhaust system. E8-3s crew extinguished the fire with a water can and mopped up with the trash line. Squad 8-18 assisted
with traffic control and A8-6 stoodby on scene. All units cleared the scene at 1227 hours.
TWO VEHICLE MVC IN LINDLEY
09/11/13 1621hrs
Stations 26 (Lindley) and 8 were dispatched to a vehicle crash on the Indian Hills Road in Lindley, NY.
It was in the area of the Route 15 construction detour area. Chief 26 (Mcfall) responded and was notified by Stueben 911 that
the vehicles were cleared from the roadway and there was possibly no injuries. C26 then issued a standby for Station 8 until
he arrived on scene. A short while later, Station 8 was recalled as C26 confirmed the intial report.
AUTO FIRE ALARM AT EXXON
09/05/13 2319hrs
Station 8 was dispatched tonight to a reported auto fire alarm at the Exxon Station on Route 49 in Lawrence
Township. Engine 8-3 with a crew of 5 responded. Upon arrival, they were met by staff who reported that it was a false activation
and no fire condition was present.
VEHICLE INTO A STRUCTURE
09/02/13 1611hrs
Station 8 was dispatched to a reported vehicle into a house on the Wheeler Road in Lawrence Twp. Engine
8-2 (C8), Squad 8-18, Ambulance 8-6, and Chief 8-20 all responded. C8-20 arrived and reported a single vehicle into the structure
with one injury. Crews went to work providing patient care and assessing the structure for damage. Due to the injuries, a
helicopter was requested to the HMAC LZ. Squad 8-18 cleared from the crash scene and went to setup the LZ. Ambulance
8-6 transported the patient to the LZ and met with Guthrie Air. E8-2 remained on scene to assist PSP and Kens Towing.
