UKNOWN TYPE FIRE IN TIOGA TWP
10/30/13 1902hrs
Stations 7 (Tioga) and 8 were dispatched to the Mitchell Creek Road in Tioga
Township for the report of an unknown type fire. The caller stated that she could see something on fire from her residence,
but wasn't sure what it was. Engine 8-3 and Chief 8-10 responded. Chief 7 (Preston) arrived and reported an controlled burn.
All units were then cancelled.
CAR OVER EMBANKMENT ON ROUTE 49
Stations 8 and 18 (Nelson) were dispatched to a single vehicle crash on
Route 49 near the Gee Hollow Road in Lawrence Township. Chief 8-10 (Hackett), Rescue 8-8, and Ambulance 8-6 all responded.
Chief 8-10 arrived and reported a passenger car off the roadway over an embankment with two occupants out of the vehicle.
Rescue 8-8 and Ambulance 8-6 arrived and began patient care and backboarded each patient. Engine 18-3 arrived and assisted
crews with EMS. C8-10 requested an additional ambulance from Station 25 (Valley Amb). After the ambulances departed, E18-3
was released and Rescue 8-8 began traffic control while the tow service began to remove the vehicle. Crews directed traffic
with a single lane closure for approximately 45 minutes before the vehicle was removed and all units cleared the scene.
MONDAY NIGHT DRILL - AIRBAGS

Tonights drill topic was the use of airbags for lifting vehicles. Members
reviewed the setup and safety of utilizing the airbags and cribbing for lifting.
MVC WITH NOTHING FOUND
10/28/13 1818hrs
Station 8 was alerted to a reported MVC on Route 15 North in Lawrence Township.
Chief 8 corrected the box and requested Stations 7 (Tioga) and 26 (Lindley, NY) to be added. Rescue 8-8, Ambulance 8-6, and
Chief 8-10 responded. Units started north bound on the highway with nothing located. Engine 7-3 also reported nothing found
north of Tioga. All units were then cancelled. Shortly after the recall, Lt 8-10 and Chief 8-10 located a vehicle that struck
a deer on Route 287 south of the borough that they beleived was the MVC units were searching for. No one was around the vehicle
and all units returned.
MVC INTO TREE WITH HELO ASSIST
10/26/13 0128hrs
Station 8 was dispatched early this morning for a vehicle crash in Lawrence
Township on the East Lawrence Road. Rescue 8-8 and Ambulance 8-6 responded. Upon arrival crews found a vehicle into a tree
with no one around. After a checking the area, the patient was located at a nearby residence. Due to the injuries found, Guthrie
Air was requested for transport. Rescue 8-8 setup a landing zone down the roadway from the crash scene. Units assisted the
helicopter before returning to the scene to assist the tow service. Units operated until returning to quarters at 0311 hours.
**This was Rescue 8-8's first run since being placed in service.**
LFD AUXILLARY HALLOWEEN PARTY

The Lawrenceville Fireman's Auxillary once again held the Annual Halloween
Party at Station 8. Among the highlights was a parade with costume judging, a haunted house in the apparatus bay, a haunted
hay ride, games, and more.The turnout was great for this year with the hopes of increasing the attendance next year. Thanks
to all the volunteers who helped out!
WORKING FIRE IN NELSON TOWNSHIP
10/15/13 1506hrs
Station 8 was alerted this afternoon for a mutual aid building fire that originated as a vehicle fire. Stations
18 (Nelson) and 25 (Valley Ambulance) had been dispatched at 1458 hours for the report of a vehicle fire with an exposure.
With additional details coming in a second alarm was transmitted bringing Stations 8, 3 (Elkland), and 14 (Osceola). Engine
8-3, Engine 8-2, and Squad 8-18 all responded. E8-3 arrived as the second due engine with building well involved. The deck
gun was placed in service as the rest of the crew stretched a 2.5" line. The bulk of the fire was knocked down as E8-2 arrived
and established as a supply pumper at the bottom of the driveway. With the need for additional tankers, Stations 6 (Knoxville),
7 (Tioga), 11 (Middlebury), and 26 (Lindley, NY) were dispatched to respond. All together, 2 vehicles, an attached garage,
and a mobile home all received fire damage. Crews continued to work on scene conducting overhaul before clearing the scene
at 1716 hours.
MUTUAL AID FIRE IN MILLERTON
10/13/13 1504hrs
Stations 12 (Millerton) and 13 (Daggett) were dispatched to Drapers Store on Main Street in Millerton for
a reported structure fire with flames showing. A second alarm was dispatched bringing Station 8, Pine City, and Webbs Mills
Fire Departments. Engine 8-3, Engine 8-2, Squad 8-18, and Ambulance 8-6 all responded. As E8-3 approached the scene, the report
of the fire under control was given. E8-3 arrived and sent its manpower to check the area with the thermal imager for any
extension. The fire had started from a peice of equipment in an attached garage to the store. The fire was knocked down and
kept to that area by the first arriving units. Units were released from the scene a short while later.
NIGHTIME WILDFIRE IN THE WOODS
10/12/13 2029hrs
Stations 2 (Mansfield) and 13 (Daggett) were dispatched to a reported wildfire on the Hardscrabble Road
in Rutland Township. Additionally, Station 12 (Millerton) was added for a brush truck. Chief 12-10 arrived and reported a
large fire in the woods and more units were dispatched from Stations 8, 7 (Tioga), 1 (Wellsboro), and 11 (Middlebury). Patrol
8-4, Squad 8-18, and Ambulane 8-6 all responded. As more units arrived, the fire was placed under control and units not yet
on scene were cancelled. P8-4 and Sq8-18's crew was assigned to rake a fireline around the involved area to prevent any spread.
All units from 8 cleared the scene at 2218 hours.
ASSIST FOR HELO & AMBULANCE
10/04/13 1622hrs
Station 8 Fire and EMS were dispatched to the HMAC facility for the report of an arm laceration and to assist
Guthrie Air for transport. Ambulance 8-6 and Engine 8-3 both responded. Upon arrival, units were notified that helicopters
were declining due to weather. E8-3's crew then entered the facility to assist EMS with packaging and loading the patient.
