MVC ON SLIPPERY INTERSTATE
11/27/14 0757hrs
Station 8 was dispatched with Lindley FD for a reported MVC on Interstate 99 with no injuries. Rescue 8-8
and Squad 8-18 responded. As units arrived, they were directed by Chief 26-01 (Hill) to set up traffic control. The squad
crew setup incident ahead warning signs and the rescue crew set out flares and cones. Units remained on scene assisting until
the vehicle was cleared by the tow service.
FULLY INVOLVED VEHICLE FIRE
11/21/14 1807hrs
Stations 8 and 7 (Tioga) were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire at a residence on the East Lawrence
Road in Lawrence Township. A second call had come in reporting a medical emergency on scene as well. Engine 8-3 and Ambulance
8-6 responded. Upon arrival, the vehicle was found to be fully involved. The crews advanced the trash line and knocked down
the fire. During overhaul, the fire began to advance as the gasoline fueled it. The foam line was stretched from E8-3 and
placed into service to extinguish the fire.
VEHICLE INTO CORN FIELD
11/16/14 1050hrs
Station 8 was alerted this morning for a single car MVC over the embankment on the Tioga River Road in Lawrence
Township. Chief 8 (Scott), Chief 8-20 (Strange), Rescue 8-8, and Ambulance 8-6 responded. C820 arrived and reported the vehicle
off the roadway with both occupants out with possibly no injuries. A8-6 arrived and provided a patient check over. Fire units
stood by on scene while PSP investigated and Wheelers Towing removed the vehicle.
AUTO FIRE ALARM AT THE EXXON
11/15/14 1948hrs
Stations 8 and 18 (Nelson) were dispatched this evening to the Exxon Store on Route 49 in Lawrence Township.
Chief 8 (Scott) and Chief 8-10 (Hackett) both responded. Upon arrival, it was discovered that it was an accidental trip
and all units were cancelled.
2 VEHICLE MVC WITH INJURY
11/11/14 1526hrs
Station 8 was dispatched this afternoon to the intersection of Route 287 and Route 328 in Lawrence Township
for the report of a 2 vehicle crash. Chief 8 (Scott) arrived and reported a lane of traffic on Route 328 blocked with 1 injury
and negative entrapment. Ambulance 8-7 and Squad 8-18 responded. As units arrived, EMS packaged the patient for transport
and assessed the other operator. Fire units remained on scene to assist PSP and Wheelers Towing, returning to the station
at 1605 hours.
