Caton FD, Lindley FD, and Station 8 were dispatched on a 1st alarm assignment to Box 11-03 in the Town of Caton. A fully involved structure fire at the intersection of Hurd Cross Road and Church Creek Road was reported. Engine 8-3 with a crew of4 responded. Upon arrival, E8-3s crew went to work stretching an additional handline to assist. Tankers from Millerton, South Corning, Webbs Mills, and Pine City were also requested. E8-3 crew for approximately 3 hours performing fire extinguishment and overhaul.

Station 18 (Nelson) was dispatched to a reported wildfire along Route 49 in the area of Cowanesque Lake.Chief 18-20 responded and requested Station 8 dispatched. Patrol 8-4, Engine 8-2, Squad 8-18, and Chief 8 responded. Patrol 18-4 arrived and reported the incident to be in Lawrence Township Box 18-03. The fire was in a grassy area near a power substation. Units quickly brought the fire under control before clearing at 1615 hours.

VEHICLE FIRE ON ROUTE 15

Lindley FD was dispatched this evening for a vehicle fire in the south bound lane of Route 15 in Lindley, NY. Chief 26-01 (Hill) responded and requested an engine from Gang Mills. Additional information on the location reported it to be near the state line and Lawrenceville was requested. Engine 8-3 responded with a crew of 3. Law enforcement units from NY had the south bound lane shut down, enabling E8-3 to access the scene by traveling north in the south lane. E8-3 arrived and stretched the trash line, quickly knocking down the fire. Unit from Lindley arrived and assisted E8-3s crew fully extinguishing the fire. Units remained on scene before clearing at 2032 hours.

MUTUAL AID REQUEST - RECALLED

Station 8 was dispatched for an engine company response this morning. Gang Mills FD was operating at a structure fire and had requested additional units from North and South Corning FDs. With the additional units having a delayed response, Lawrenceville was dispatched. Shortly after the dispatch, Station 8 was recalled.

LANDING ZONE FOR VALLEY & G.A.

Station 8 was dispatched to assist Guthrie Air and Valley Ambulance at the HMAC LZ. Engine 8-3 responded to assist. E8-3 called on scene and setup the LZ, later assisting EMS with packaging the patient for transport.
