ELECTRICAL FIRE AT KWIK FILL

Station 8 was toned out tonight to 23 Main Street in Lawrenceville Borough for the report of an electrical fire. Engine 8-3, Ambulance 8-6, and Chief 8-60 (Button) all responded. C8-60 arrived and reported that the fire was out and requested E8-3 non-emergency to check for extension. Units found a faulty lighting system and turned the scene over to store maintenance.

Stations 12 (Millerton) and 13 (Daggett) were dispatched to Box 12-02 in Jackson Township on Route 328 for the report of a barn fire with visable smoke. Chief 12-10 responded and requested additional units causing Station 8 to be dispatched. Engine 8-3 and Engine 8-2 both responded. E8-3 was assigned to setup water supply at Buttons Pond. Prior to setting up the fill site, E8-3 was requested to the scene for manpower. E8-3 and E8-2 continued to the scene. A light smoke condition was found as units checked over the structure finding the fire into the attic space. The fire was quickly extinguished and E8-3 was requested back to the fill site to fill the tankers used on scene.

HELICOPTER ASSIST FOR VALLEY AMB

Station 8 was dispatched today to assist Lifeflight and Valley Ambulance at the HMAC LZ in Lawrence Township. Valley Ambulance was on scene of a cardiac call and requested a helicopter. Engine 8-3 with a crew of 5 responded. The crews established the LZ and awaited for the helicopter to arrive. ALS called on scene with Valley Ambulance and recalled the helicopter as it was flying above the LZ.

Stations 8 and 26 (Lindley) were alerted this afternoon for the report of a structure fire on the Bellman Road in Lindley, NY. Mutual aid from Station 18 (Nelson), Gang Mills, and Tuscorora was also dispatched. Engine 8-3, Engine 8-2, Squad 8-18, and Ambulance 8-6 all responded. Upon arrival, Chief 26 (McFall) requested SCBA manpower for a working fire with heavy smoke showing. E8-3s crew provided an interior attack knocking down the fire on the main floor. Chief 26-02 (Johnson) then requested the interior crew to back out due to heavy fire in the attic space that had vented it self causing a partial roof collapse. Crews then moved into a defensive attack knocking down the fire that was trapped in the roof area. E8-3 & E8-2 were reassigned as tankers. Crews worked on scene for approximately 3 hours extinguishing hot spots before returning to station at 1911 hours.

TRUCK INTO WIRES

Station 8 was dispatched this afternoon for the report of wires on a vehicle. Squad 8-18, Chief 8, and Chief 8-60 all responded. After a short while of attempting to find the vehicle due to mixed directions, a garbage truck with utility lines was located on the Station Road. It appeared that low hanging wires had gotten snagged on the vehicle causing additional wires to be pulled down. Units set up traffic control and awaited the utility company until returning at 1421 hours.

MOTORCYCLE CRASH/FIRE

Stations 8 and 18 (Nelson) were dispatched to a vehicle fire reported motorcycle on the Bliss Road in Lawrence Township. The call was originally reported approximately 30 minuties prior to the state police as a MVC with no injuries. Upon the arrival of PSP, they found the motorcycle to have a small fire near the fuel tank and the operator had fled on foot. E8-3 with 5, Chief 8-20, and Chief 8-60 all responded. Units arrived and quickly extinguished the small fire. Units remained on scene for the tow service and to assist PSP.
