VEHICLE ON ITS ROOF ON ROUTE 328

Station 8s crews were awoken early this morning for a report of a vehicle crash on Route 328. Engine 8-2,
Ambulance 8-6, Ambulance 8-7, Chief 8-10 (Hackett), and Chief 8-20 (Strange) all responded. C8-10 and C8-20 arrived and reported
a vehicle on its roof with the occupants out of the vehicle. Fire crews setup traffic control and assessed for additional
hazards. EMS arrived and began treatment. Fire units remained on scene to assist PSP and the tow service before returning
to the station.
MUTUAL AID WILDFIRE IN LINDLEY
03/30/13 1224hrs
Stations 26 (Lindley) and 8 were dispatched to a wildfire into the woods behind a residence on the Kittle
Road in the Town of Lindley. Patrol 8-4, Engine 8-2, and Squad 8-18 all responded. Upon arrival, Lindley and Lawrenceville
units attacked the fire with booster lines and indian tanks. A quick knockdown was made. Crews remained on scene
for approximately 45 minutes for mop up before clearing from the scene.
WILDFIRE IN LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP
03/23/13 1628hrs
Station 8 was alerted to a wildfire on the Station Road in Lawrence Township. Patrol 8-4 (C8), Engine 8-2,
Ambulance 8-6 (C860), and Squad 8-18 responded. Upon arrival of P8-4, approximately 1.5 acres was found to be involved with
the fire moving into thick brush. A request for Stations 26 (Lindley) and 7 (Tioga) to be dispatched with brush units was
made. The head of the fire was knocked down quickly and the remaining units arrived to assist with mop up of hot spots.
ENGINE COMPANY STANDBY
03/22/13 2119hrs
Station 8 was dispatched to transfer an engine company to standby at Station 18 (Nelson) while they were
operating at a structure fire in Elkland Borough. E8-3s officer contacted Chief 18 and received authorization to standby in
quarters due to E8-3 not being able to fit in a bay at Station 18. The engine crew stood by in quarters without incident.
AUTO FIRE ALARM
03/20/13 0938hrs
Stations 8 and 7 (Tioga) was alerted for an auto fire alarm at Halls Homes & Lumber. Chief
8-10 contacted the facility and determined it was a faulty activation. A recall was issued for all units by C8-10
DOG RESCUE ON THE ICE
03/10/13 1233hrs
Chief 8 was notified this afternoon of a dog that fell through the ice at South Shore Recreational Area
in Lawrence Township. A request for a dispatch was made for manpower to meet at the station. Shortly after the dispatch, Station
8 was cancelled due to the dog being able to free himself and return to his owner.
REPORTED BARN FIRE IN NELSON TWP
03/03/13 1056hrs
Stations 8 and 6 (Knoxville) were dispatched for a barn fire on a special request to assist first alarm
Stations 18 (Nelson), 3 (Elkland), and 25 (Valley Amb). Engine 8-3 with 5 and Engine 8-2 with 3 responded in 3 minutes. Enroute
to the scene, Nelson Command requested a recall of the 2nd due departments and continued the first alarm assignment.
