VEHICLE FIRE - OUT ON ARRIVAL
06/30/14 1822hrs Stations 8 and 18 (Nelson) were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire on Heffner Hollow Road in Lawrence Township
for the report of a vehicle fire. Engine 8-3 and Engine 18-2 responded. E8-3 arrived on scene and reported the vehicle in
a driveway and the fire out. Law enforcement was notified to investigate and all units returned to quarters.
MVC WITH ENTRAPMENT
06/29/14 0312hrs Station
7 (Tioga) was dispatched to a vehicle crash with entrapment on Route 287 under the Route 15 overpass in Tioga Township. Chief
7 arrived and confirmed entrapment and requested Rescue 8-8 to assist. Rescue 8-8 responded with a crew of 5. Upon arrival,
the crew went to work assisting the crew from E7-3 with extrication. After several minutes of intense work, the patient
was removed and transferred to EMS. LifeFlight was landed near the scene and transported the patient. Units remained
on scene to assist the tow service before clearing at 0627 hours.
DUMP TRUCK MVC
06/24/14 1005hrs Station
8 EMS was dispatched to assist PSP with a victim of a vehicle crash on Route 15 in Lawrence Township. Chief 8 (Scott)
responded and requested a rescue response as well. Rescue 8-8 with a crew of 5 and Ambulance 8-6 responded. Upon arrival,
a tri-axle dump truck was found overturned and off the roadway. The driver was uninjured and the truck was checked for
any hazardous materials leaking. A small oil a fuel leak was found and controlled by the rescue crew. Traffic control was
taken over by Penndot as the north bound lane had to be shut down to remove the truck. All units from 8 returned at 1102 hours.

Henry "Hank" Shutt received an honor today during his surprise birthday party at Station 8. Hank has been a volunteer
with over 50 years of continuous service to the Lawrenceville fire Department. In honor of his longtime service, Patrol 8-4
was dedicated to him and named in his honor. Patrol 8-4 has always been Hanks favorite truck and is still just as reliable
as Hank is to our organization. Thanks Hank for all of your volunteering!
FIRE IN A TREE
06/07/14 1212hrs
Station 8 was dispatched today to the area of the Cook Road in Lawrence Township for a reported wildfire.
Patrol 8-4 and Chief 8 responded. Units arrived in the area to discover that the fire was actually in a tree due to a branch
on wires. The fire appeared to be out and the electric company was contacted.
SMALL BRUSH FIRE ALONG ROAD
06/04/14 1541hrs Lindley FD and Station 8 were dispatched to a reported fire alongside Steamtown Road in the Town of Lindley. Patrol
8-4 and Engine 8-2 responded. Units arrived on scene and assisted Lindley FD with extinguishing some small hot sports. The
fire was contained to a small pile of brush next to the roadway.
