TREE IN ROADWAY

Station 8 was dispatched this afternoon for a non-emergency response on Route 328 in Lawrence Township for a tree in the roadway. A high wind storm went through the area causing damage all around the county. E8-2 with 3 and all FD Chiefs responded direct. The tree was removed with some delay to traffic.

VEHICLE INTO A TREE

Station 8 was alerted for a one vehicle crash into a tree on Route 328 in Lawrence Township. E8-3 was out of the station filling pools and responded from Presho, NY with 4. E8-2 responded with 2 and Chief 8-10 (Short) responded direct. C8-10 arrived and reported a vehicle off the roadway into a tree. The patient was still in the vehicle but not entrapted. E8-2's crew with A8-7 packaged the patient while SQ8-18 handled traffic control.

RIVER RESCUE AFTER THE RAIN

Station 8 was dispatched this evening to assist Station 7 (Tioga) to locate indivduals in a capsized boat floating down the high waters of the Cowanesque River after a long day of heavy rain. Chief 8 (Strange) reported the indivduals floating on tubes behind Bradford Forrest and stated it didnt look like they needed assistance. Crews were then staged north at the river bridge behind the high school to wait for the floating crew. It was determined that the indivduals were just having fun when a passer-by reported seeing them. Fish and Boat Commission arrived and had the indivduals exit the water. All units returned to the station dry.

VEHICLE LEAKING FUEL

Station 8 and Rescue 2-8 with Hazmat 99-2 were dispatched this morning on Route 15 near the Route 49 exit for a vehicle leaking fuel. It was reported that the passenger car struck an object in the roadway and punctured the fuel tank. E8-3 responded with 4 and Chief 8-10 (Short) arrived with command. E8-3 was able to stop the leak and contain the approx 8 gallons of spilled fuel.

MVC WITH CONFINEMENT

Station 8 was alerted this morning for a vehicle accident on the Crane Road in the Town of Lindley. It was reported as a vehicle in the creek with confinement. Engine 8-2 responded under command of Lt Hackett and Chief 8 (Strange) and Chief 8-10 (Short) responded direct. Upon arrival it was determined that the occupant was not injured, but still confined to the vehicle over the embankment. E82 went to work with Lindley's crew to remove the indivdual.

Station 8 was dispatched this afternoon to a vehicle fire in the Town of Lindley on Route 15 near the intersection of Morgan Creek Road. Engine 8-3 responded with a crew of 5. Upon arriving on the scene, the fire was reported extinguished. The crew of E8-3 assisted with the rest of the operations while awaiting the towing service.
