SINGLE VEHICLE MVC IN THE SNOW

Station 8 was dispatched to a vehicle crash on Route 15 south of Route 49 in Lawrence Township. Snow had
blown in overnight causing hazardous road conditions. Chief 8 and Rescue 8-8 (C810) responded. Chief 8 arrived and reported
a vehicle into the median with no injuries. The vehicle had minor damage and was stuck in the median. Units operated on scene
to slow traffic and assist the tow service in pulling the vehicle onto the roadway. All units cleared at 0809 hours.
LAND RESCUE IN LINDLEY
01/17/14 1708hrs
Station 26 (Lindley) and Rural Metro EMS were dispatched to a residence on the River Road in Lindley for
a logging accident with the patient being an unknown distance from the residence in the woods. Chief 26-01 (Hill) requested
a rescue from Station 8 and an ATV from Gang Mills FD. R8-8 responded with a crew of 4. On arrival, R8-8 took the stokes
basket and medical equipment and met with crews in the woods providing care to the patient. Engine 8-3 was then requested
to assist Guthrie Air at the intersection of Morgan Creek and County Route 115 for this incident. Crews packaged
the patient and carried him to an awaiting ambulance with the stokes basket. R8-8 then proceeded to the LZ to meet with E8-3.
Crews from R8-8 & E8-3 assisted with loading the patient into the helicopter. All units returned to quarters after the
helicopter went airbourne.
SNOWMOBILE FIRE IN A FIELD
01/05/14 1617hrs Station 8 was alerted this afternoon for the report of a snowmobile fire in the field behind the Laurel Health Center
on East Lawrence Road in Lawrence Township. Patrol 8-4, Engine 8-3, Ambulance 8-6, and Chief 8-60 responded. C8-60 arrived
and reported a snowmobile fully involved with fire. P8-4 stretched a booster line out to the fire and quickly extinguished
the blaze. All units cleared at 1637 hours.
VEHICLE ROLLOVER
01/05/14 0628hrs
Stations 8 and 12 (Millerton) were dispatched this cold morning for the report of a vehicle rollover
on Collum Road in Lawrence Township. Rescue 8-8, Ambulance 8-6, and Chief 8 all responded. C8 arrived and reported a vehicle
rollover with the occupant out of the vehicle. Station 12 units were then recalled. As other units arrived,
the vehicle was secured and the patient was assessed for injury. Crews stood by on scene to assist PSP before clearing
at 0708 hours.
