MVC ON ROUTE 328 - LAWRENCE TWP

Station 8 was dispatched to Route 328 near the Wheeler Road in Lawrence Township for an MVC with possibly
no injuries. Squad 8-18, Ambulance 8-6, and Chief 8-10 all responded. Prior to units arriving, PSP reported no one around
the vehicle. The Squad arrived and setup traffic control on the east side of the incident to slow down traffic. EMS arrived
and staged on the west side of the scene. Units provided traffic assistance to PSP and the tow service.
2ND MVC OF THE DAY - JACKSON TWP
01/29/13 1229hrs
Stations 8 and 12 (Millerton) with Erway Ambulance were all dispatched to Route 328 in Jackson Township
near the Lawrence Twp line for a single car MVC with injuries. Engine 8-2 with 3 and Squad 8-18 with 2 responded. E8-2
arrived on scene to find a passenger vehicle off the roadway with 2 occupants self extricated. E8-2's chauffeur repositioned
the engine for traffic control on the east side of the MVC as the crew went to work preforming an EMS asessment on the occupants.
Squad 8-18 set up traffic control on the west side of the crash. Erway Ambulance arrived and patient care was turned
over. E12-2 called on scene and then returned shortly after as the patients were in Erways care. E8-2 and Sq8-18 remained
on scene to assist PSP and the towing service.
MVC ASSIST IN NELSON TWP
01/28/13 0921hrs
Stations 18 (Nelson) and 25 (Valley Ambulance) were dispatched to a vehicle crash on Route 49 in Nelson
Township. At the 6 minute mark, Stations 18 and 25 were redispatched and Station 8 was added to the alarm (due to low manpower
issues). Engine 8-2 and Ambulance 8-7 both responded. E8-2 arrived on scene and reported a vehicle struck the guide rails
and was off the traffic way. Chief 25-70 (Goodrich) was on scene and had relayed possibly no injuries. A8-7 assessed the patient
and E8-2 assisted PSP with securing the vehicle to be driven from the scene. E18-3 provided traffic control assistance also.All
units cleared at 0957 hours.
MVC - NOTHING FOUND
01/25/13 1555hrs
Stations 8, 7 (Tioga), and 26 (Lindley) were all dispatched to Route 15 in the north bound lane, south of
the Route 49 interchange for the report of a vehicle in the median. Engine 8-2 (C8) and Ambulance 8-6 (C8-60) responded.
Chief 7 (Preston) reported to Chief 8 that nothing was located from Lawrenceville to Tioga and Lindley units confirmed the
same. 911 advised that Penndot had located a spot that appeared to be the scene of a recent crash with no vehicles present.
With nothing located, all units were recalled.
SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH WITH LINDLEY
01/23/13 2121hrs
Station 8 was dispatched with Lindley FD to the report of a vehicle crash with possible injuries on the
Clendenning Creek Road in Lindley. Engine 8-2 (C8 & C820), Squad 8-18, and Ambulance 8-6 all responded. Upon arrival,
units were advised by Lindley Command of negative entrapment and minor injuries. Squad 8-18 set up traffic control, A8-6
staged on scene, and E8-2 asessed the scene. The tow service arrive and the Squad shut down the roadway. Once the road was
cleared, all units returned to quarters.
2 ALARM GARAGE FIRE

Stations 26 (Lindley) and 8 were dispatched to a working garage fire on the State Line Road in Lindley,
NY. Engine 8-3 and Engine 8-2 both responded. Tankers were also requested from Gang Mills, Tuscarora, Nelson, Elkland, and
Tioga FD's. A water supply was established at the fire hydrant located within Station 8. Initially, units from Station 8 were
staged due to limited access to the driveway. E8-3s crew began a trek on foot to the residence. After a short period,
E8-2 was assigned to lay approximately 1000' of 5" supply line up the driveway and E8-3 setup at the bottom of the driveway
to supply E8-2 while tankers shuttled water. Units worked on scene extinguishing the fire before clearing at 0516 hours. Thanks
to Mansfield FD for the standby engine company and the members from Station 18 (Nelson) who helped with the 5".
FUEL SPILL AT ACORN MARKET
01/18/13 2102hrs
Station 8 was alerted to respond to the Acorn Market in Lawrence Township for the report of a fuel spill.
Engine 8-3 and Squad 8-18 (C820) reponded. Upon arrival, a small spill was located. It was reported by employees that a truck
had struck a pump and fuel began to spill onto the ground. The employees hit the emergency shut off valve. Units were able
to control the small spill and returned shortly after.
HELICOPTER ASSIST AT HMAC LZ
01/11/13 1334hrs
Station 8 was dispatched to assist Guthrie air and Sabinsville Ambulance at the HMAC LZ in Lawrence Township.
A16-7 was transporting a patient from an MVC in Westfield Borough. Due to weather conditions, the helicopter was only able
to fly as far west as Lawrenceville. Engine 8-3 with 5 responded. On scene, the E8-3s crew assisted EMS with packaging and
loading into the helicopter.
MUTUAL AID BUILDING FIRE IN LINDLEY
01/05/13 2052hrs
Stations 8, Lindley, Gang Mills, and Caton FD's were all dispatched this evening for the report of a structure
fire at the Lindley Town Garage on the River Road in Lindley, NY. Engine 8-3 and Ambulance 8-6 both responded. Additional
departments were called for mutual aid from both New York and Pennsylvania. The garages stored the Town's vehicles and equipment
and provided difficulty with extinguishing the fire due to the construction and access to the structure. Crews worked on scene
for approximately 4 hours before returning to quarters.
MVC - RECALL
01/04/13 1034hrs
Stations 8 and Lindley FD were dispatched for the report of a tractor trailer off the roadway on Route 15
in Lindley, NY. A second call to Stueben Co 911 reported the incident to be near exit 2 in the Town of Erwin and Gang Mills
FD was dispatched. Station 8 was recalled shortly after.
