STANDBY AT STATION 12
02/26/13 1124hrs
Stations 12 (Millerton) & 13 (Daggett) were dispatched to a 2 alarm structure fire this morning on the
Coryland Road in Wells Township. While they were operating at the fire, Station 8 was dispatched for an engine company to
standby in Millerton to cover. Engine 8-3 with a crew of 5 responded. While standing by, the engine crew took on a task to
clean the engine bay for our neighbors while they were out working. E8-3 was released at 1455 hours.
VEHICLE OFF ROADWAY
02/18/13 0009hrs
Stations 26 (Lindley) and 8 were alerted for a single vehicle crash in the area of Morgan Creek Road in
Lindley, NY. Engine 8-2 responded with a crew of 3. E8-2 arrived and reported a vehicle on its side off the roadway with
the occupant out. The vehicle was assessed for additional occupants with nothing found. E8-2 was released by Lindley Command
and returned at 0032 hours
MUTUAL AID TO A FIRE IN LINDLEY
02/13/13 1756hrs
Stations 26 (Lindley), 17 (Gang Mills), and 8 were dispatched for a reported structure fire in the Town
of Lindley on the Gibson Road. Engine 8-3 (C8), Engine 8-2, and Ambulance 8-6 (C820) responded. C26 (Mcfall) was advised by
911 that the caller had hooked up a dryer and now there was visable fire under the residence. E8-3 arrived and received
order from Lindley Command to check the area of a dryer with the thermal imager for extension from a possible electrical fire.
E8-2 and A8-6 staged with other units. Units continued to check over the structure for any extension and then cleared the
scene at 2118 hours.
DUMP TRUCK ROLLOVER
02/12/13 0613hrs
Stations 8 and 26 (Lindley) were dispatched to the Stowell Rd near Route 15 in the Town of Lindley for the
report of a dump truck rollover with injury. Engine 8-2 (C8 & C810) and Chief 8-20 responded. Lindley units arrived and
updated the report with 1 patient self extricated. Lawrenceville units arrived and assisted Rural Metro EMS
with packaging and loading the patient into the ambulance. Lindley units remained on scene for the tow service and Lawrenceville
units were released at 0649 hours.
LANDING ZONE REQUEST AT HMAC
02/10/13 hrs
Station 8 was called out today to assist Guthrie Air and Valley Community Ambulance (http://www.vcaa25.org/) at the HMAC LZ in Lawrence Township. A25-7 was on scene of a medical and requested the helicopter for transport. E8-3, A8-6,
and Chief 8-60 all responded. On scene, E8-3 set up the LZ and assisted with loading the patient into the helicopter.
VEHICLE INTO A STRUCTURE
02/08/13 1654hrs
Station 8 was alerted on this snowy afternoon for the report of a vehicle into a structure with unknown
injuries. Engine 8-2 (C8), Ambulance 8-6 (C860 & C870), Squad 8-18, and Chief 820 all responded. C820 arrived and reported
a vehicle off the road into a strucuture with no injuries. E8-2 arrived and assessed for structural damage and secured the
utilities and EMS checked over the driver. Units remained on scene for the arrival of PSP. The crews then worked to crib the
vehicle for removal from the damaged area. All units cleared at 1810 hours.
SINGLE VEHICLE MVC ON ROUTE 15
02/02/13 0348hrs
Stations 8 and Lindley were dispatched early this morning to the beginning of the 2 lane section of
Route 15 in Lindley for the report of a car into a concrete barrier with injuries. Engine 8-2, Ambulance 8-6, and Squad
8-18 all responded. Chief 26-01 arrived and reported 2 occupants in the vehicle unresponsive. Engine 89 arrived and positioned
in the south bound lane and set up lighting. E8-2 arrived and positioned past the vehicle and preformed a quick
assessment. The vehicle was still in gear and running and E8-2s crew began the process to immobilize the vehicle. After determining
that there was no entrapment or injuries, the occupants were removed from the vehicle and taken into the care of NYSP. Squad
8-18 set up traffic control on Route 15 near the Route 49 interchange to prevent vehicles from approaching the scene. Units
operated on scene to assist the tow service and NYSP before clearing at 0440 hours.
MVC ON ROUTE 15 AT NY/PA LINE
02/01/13 1313hrs
Stations 8 and Lindley were dispatched this afternoon for a single vehicle MVC with unknown injuries. Stueben
reported that the caller stated that they were near the two lane split of Route 15 south of the Presho exit. A Tioga County
Probation unit was in the area and located a truck off the roadway on its side approximately 500 feet north of the PA border
near the end of the 4 lane. Engine 8-2 responded to that location and relayed that information to Chief 26-01. Lindley units
proceeded to double check the area of the Presho exit in case it was a seperate incident. E8-2 arrived to find a single
occupant self extricated from the vehicle. Lindley units and Rural Metro EMS arrived. E8-2 set up traffic control with
assistance from NYSP. Chief 26 returned his apparatus and remained on scene with 26-01. E8-2 also remained on scene to assist
with shutting down the roadway for the tow service while they removed the vehicle. All units cleared at 1430 hours.
